2009 WSOP Bracelets

Jeff Lisandro who has been rocking the 2009 series proving skill has something to do with poker. WSOP LIMIT
If there was one event I wanted to play the most it was the $1500 Limit tournament which started yesterday. I prefer pot limit and no limit for cash games, but for tournaments... limit is probably my favorite. And even though I'm not playing... I was happy to see Bill Chen, Justin Bonomo, Richard Brodie, Noah Boeken and Bill Seber among the chip leaders going into Day Two. Also heading into Day Two is Barry Greenstein and Shannon Elizabeth.

2009 WSOP Schedule Announced
Despite economic stress, Harrahs isn't reducing the 2009 WSOP schedule. Apparently, Jeffrey Pollack or someone at Harrahs couldn't drive 55 so they have put 57 bracelets up for grabs starting May 27th. Not too shabby for Phil Ivey should he go all crazy prop betting beeeellions and beeeellions of dollars on whether or not he wins a bracelet. Although, he may want to shake hands after Event 2 since it's a.... let me take a deep breath before I type this long description... a NL Hold'em 40K buy-in with a one-time commemorative gold bracelet marking the 40th year anniversary of the tournament. 2009 WSOP Rule Questions
Without a doubt, a few things will happen at the 2009 WSOP: 1. Hundreds of players will ask rule questions. 2. Table captains will offer their vast rule knowledge. 3. At least one dealer will make a mistake (unlike real life where mistakes never, ever, ever happen). 4. And just a hunch on this one... Phil Hellmuth will get a penalty. World Series Changes Structure Finally…
When the World Series of Poker increased the starting chip stack two years ago it created a buzz. Unfortunately, the extra chips were kind of a wash by the elimination of tournament levels. Specifically an early level where most tournament books had preached patient play or in Phil Hellmuth's case... playing at all. Yet, this year the WSOP has some rather stimulating news in honor of the economic stimulation. Jack Effel announced "All events will have three times the buy-in for starting chips."
